ECE 3: Assess Child Growth and Development





    A. You Objectively Document Children’s Behavior


 I have chosen this artifact from my infant/toddler development class that I did in my second semester. This artifact shows my anecdotal record that I did on a 20 month old toddler.  I chose this artifact to show that I know how to be objective while documenting children's behavior. As a result of this assignment I now know how to observe objectively.  



B.  You Analyze Children’s Development

I have chosen this artifact that I did in my practicum 2 in my second semester of school. This assignment shows that I know how to analyze children's development through a running record. It also shows how I know how to be objective while observing. I learned that being objective while analyzing is a skill that I need to know when I become a teacher. 



C.You Use Assessment Responsibly to Positively Influence  Children’s Development and Learning

I have chosen this artifact that I did in my Curriculum Planning class that I did in J-term. This assignment shows that I know how to use assessment responsibly to positively influence children's development and learning. It also shows my observations that I made when observing you tube videos. I was objective during my observations. I also describe what types of play was used and what adult strategies were in the videos.
